High Altitude Portable Oxygen (HAPO) is based out of Salida, Colorado and was founded originally by two Emergency Medicine Nurses and an Emergency Physician who saw the effects of high altitude on visitors to the region.

What is an Oxygen Concentrator?
Air consists of roughly 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen. A concentrator takes in air, compresses it and reduces the nitrogen, thereby delivering 90-95% oxygen and 5-10% nitrogen. This compressed air comes out purified and concentrated. Our concentrators are light and portable, so you don’t miss a beat
